Celebrating Eloise: From OSG Graduate to CEO of Zembr

This International Women鈥檚 Week, we celebrate Eloise, an OSG graduate who turned her small-town roots into global success. As the CEO of Zembr, a company offering virtual assistant services worldwide, to help busy executives achieve more success with less stress, Eloise鈥檚 journey is a testament to resilience, ambition, and the power of mentorship.

Growing up in Mount Gambier, South Australia, Eloise was aware of the challenges faced by businesses and people in her small town. After graduating from OSG, she began her career locally but soon recognised a gap in the market.听

鈥淚 realised that small towns lacked access to skilled workers, and businesses often couldn鈥檛 afford full-time staff,鈥 she explains. 鈥淚 wanted to create a business that offered opportunities for people to live and work in their preferred locations, while still being able to build a fun career that they loved.鈥

In 2018, while on holiday, Eloise came up with the idea for Zembr, which started as a small project on the back of a napkin with a friend. 鈥淢y friend said, 鈥楾his could be huge!鈥 and that moment changed everything for me,鈥 she recalls. By 21, Eloise had secured her first client, and within months, her team grew rapidly. Despite a 70% dip during the pandemic, Zembr bounced back, thriving as the world moved toward remote work.

鈥淲e hit the jackpot with timing,鈥 she says. 鈥淐ovid made remote work normal, and we were perfectly positioned for that.鈥

Now running the business globally with her husband from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Eloise has teams in countries like Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Each year she employs 3-5 OSG graduates and other young women around the world, offering them a chance to thrive in remote roles.

We pick candidates who embrace OSG鈥檚 鈥榣earning to learn鈥 philosophy,鈥 she explains. 鈥淭hey鈥檙e self-motivated and independent, which is exactly what we need in a remote environment.鈥

Zembr also runs an annual Creating Careers Program; a 3-month bootcamp that provides training and personal coaching across four key areas of business: Executive Assistance, Sales Assistance, Bookkeeping, and Virtual Reception. Each participant is paired with a mentor and receives coaching throughout the program. Upon completion, candidates are offered a full-time position in their preferred area of the business.听

Eloise is very passionate about empowering women in business. 鈥淒on鈥檛 think that just because you’re a girl, you鈥檙e limited,鈥 she says. 鈥淵ou can achieve anything you set your mind to – think big and take opportunities.鈥

Mentorship has been a driving force behind Eloise鈥檚 success. 鈥淢entors helped me take my business to the next level,鈥 she says. 鈥淗aving someone to hold you accountable and guide you is invaluable.鈥澨

Her advice to young women? 鈥淕et yourself a mentor, work hard, and never say no to opportunities. The sky鈥檚 the limit.鈥

Eloise鈥檚 journey as both a graduate of OSG and a member of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, is proof that with ambition, hard work, and the right mindset, anything is possible. 鈥淎t Zembr, we work with people who align with our values. We look to work with high level executives who are open minded, want help and are willing to think outside the box 鈥 we鈥檙e particularly looking for an open mindedness, that involves taking on suggestions and learnings from very young but talented and highly trained women who succeed at what they do 鈥 whether they be OSG graduates or beyond!”
